One person was killed when his motorcycle struck a car on East Chapman Avenue east of Yorba Street shortly before 2 p.m. Friday afternoon.
According to witnesses, 2 motorcycles were traveling eastbound on Chapman Ave. when an SUV driven by a woman turned left in front of them. One motorcycle struck the front of the SUV and left the roadway into a parking lot where it struck a parked car.
Paramedics from the City of Orange Fire Department pronounced the male motorcycle rider dead at the scene. The SUV driver was not injured.
The eastbound lanes of Chapman Ave. were closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation.
