An 80 year old Irvine man missing for about 34 hours was found in a rock lined drainage ditch along Edinger Avenue about a quarter mile from the Irvine MetroLink Station shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The man, Tun Yang Ching, is believed to have been located by a police helicopter that was searching for him. Irvine Police mounted an extensive search for the man as the temperature dropped overnight.
He was transported by ambulance to Orange County Global Hospital in Santa Ana suffering from hypothermia and other injuries.
