FIREFIGHTERS RESCUE MAN FROM LIGHT POLE IN ANAHEIM

Firefighters from Anaheim and Fullerton assisted Anaheim Police in rescuing a man that had climbed up a street light pole on La Palma Ave. early Sunday morning. Police were called to Anaheim Regional Hospital by security that reported the man was on the roof of the hospital and acting strangely.

The man eventually ran from the hospital and climbed up the nearby light pole. He refused to come down for about an hour but quickly gave up once police were raised up in a fire trucks basket to talk to him.

He was taken by ambulance for medical and mental evaluation.
