3 people were seriously injured and 1 man was killed when the car they were riding in struck a pole at high speed and burst into flames. The driver and 2 passengers were able to get out of the car with help from the CHP Sergeant, but a passenger was trapped and died inside the car.
The car was being pursuit by the CHP after it failed to yield when a Sergeant from the Santa Ana office spotted it speeding northbound on the 5 freeway around 2 AM.
The crash happened on Chapman Ave. near Ninth St. in Garden Grove.
