ARSON SUSPECTED IN GARDEN GROVE FIRE

The Orange County Fire Authority responded to a fire in a vacant building at 13551 Harbor Blvd. shortly after midnight Tuesday morning. This was at least the 4th fire in this building in recent months and is believed to have been started by a homeless person.

Flames were already shooting through the roof when the first fire unit arrived at the empty and previously fire damaged building. A large column of smoke and the glow from the fire were visible for miles.

Firefighters from the Anaheim Fire Department also responded to the scene to assist in fighting the fire.

Both directions of Harbor Blvd. were closed to traffic as homeliness and fire apparatus blocked the street.

An Arson Investigator was called to the scene to attempt to determine the cause of the fire.
