MAN STRUCK WHILE CROSSING STREET IN RAIN

A man is in critical condition after he was struck by a car while crossing the street in heavy rain around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday night. The man was crossing Glassell Street near Collins Avenue in Orange and may have been outside a crosswalk.

Orange Firefighters transported the victim to UCI Medical Center by ambulance. The driver of the car that struck him remained at the scene and was interviewed by police.
