20 ACRE BRUSH FIRE NEAR LAGUNA CANYON ROAD

Dozens of Firefighters, three helicopters, and hand crews quickly stopped the progress of a brush fire that burned about 20 acres in Irvine this morning.

The fire was reported around 9 A.M. and was contained by the early afternoon. Laguna Canyon Road was closed for more than an hour as crews fought to get the fire under control.

No cause of the fire has been determined yet and no homes were threatened.
