HIGH SPEED CHP CHASE ENDS IN FLAMING WRECK

A motorcyclist led California Highway Patrol Officers on a chase that reached speeds of 130 MPH. It started when CHP Sergeant from the Westminster office spotted a motorcyclist driving recklessly on the southbound 5 freeway in Anaheim.

The chase sped onto the 22 freeway and exited Bristol Street. The rider headed southbound and crashed at high speed into a car at Memory Lane and Bristol Street.

The rider was thrown off the bike into the street as the motorcycle exploded into flames. The rider was transported to UCI Medical Center in critical condition but is expected to survive.
