A fire caused significant damage to an historic building housing a bike shop and a second floor apartment at Balboa Bl. at Palm St. around 11:30 PM Friday night. It took Firefighters from Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, and the OCFA about an hour to put the fire out.
Investigators were called to the scene to attempt to determine the cause.
