ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT SEEKS INFORMATION ON CHILD MOLESTATION SUSPECT

Orange County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Detail is looking for information on a suspect accused of sexually molesting a 13-year-old girl, according to a sheriff’s department press release.

On May 22 at around 8 p.m., two 13-year-old girls sat on the swings at a playground at the Fairgreen Condominium complex in Yorba Linda, according to the release, when the suspect (described as a white male between ages 17 and 25) approached them and asked them to perform a sex act.

The girls refused and one of them walked away. The man made an additional lewd remark to the second girl and she walked away as well. The man then chased after the second girl, according to police, and pulled her pants and underwear down from behind, held the girl and groped her buttocks. The victim broke free and ran.

The suspect is also described as having dark brown, curly hair covering the tops of his ears and standing at about 6-foot 3-inches tall and weighing about 250 pounds. He was said to be wearing a light-colored T-shirt and black basketball shorts.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to call the sheriff’s department Special Victims Detail at 714-647-7418 or 714-647-7000. Anonymous tips can be given to Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-847-6227 or at occrimestoppers.org.
