FIREFIGHTERS RESCUE HORSE FROM FALL INTO CREEK BED

Firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority rescued a horse after it slid down a muddy hillside and landed in a heavily wooded area in a creek bed. An Urban Search & Rescue Team helped cut away the trees to clear a path to get the horse freed.

Orange County Animal Control and a veterinarian lightly sedated to horse named Honor to calm him down. He suffered some minor cuts and scrapes in the fall but was able to walk out of the creek bed.
