FUNDRAISER PLANNED FOR INJURED ORANGE POLICE OFFICER

A fundraiser for the City of Orange Police Officer that was seriously injured when he was struck by a suspected drunk driver early Saturday morning has been set for Tuesday December 20th. The American Veterans Assistance Group put the event together for Officer Sharif Muzayen who has a wife and 2 young children. He is a former U.S. Marine who served 2 tours of duty in Afghanistan before becoming an Orange Police Officer about 3 years ago.

The event is being held at The Villa located at 510 E. Katella Ave. in Orange with breakfast being served from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and donations will be accepted until 1 p.m. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family through what will likely be a very long recovery.

Officer Muzayen remains in serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit at O.C. Global Hospital.
