FIREFIGHTERS STOP APARTMENT FIRE IN HIGH WINDS

Quick work by Firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority and the Orange Fire Department averted disaster around 4 this afternoon when a fire started on the top floors of a 5 story wooden apartment building under construction.

Bystanders, along with Firefighters, were amazed that the fire was stopped so quickly given the high winds whipping the flames in the uncompleted wooden structure. The fire was out in about 10 minutes and crews remained at the scene to watch for any hot spots or rekindling of the fire.
