WOMAN LEADS TUSTIN POLICE ON WILD CHASE

A 35 year old woman led Tustin police on a wild hour long pursuit through the streets of several cities Saturday night. The chase started in Tustin when she refused to stop for an Officer who observed her driving erratically.

The chase wound it’s way through several cities, including Orange, where the woman made several U-turns and had a few near miss encounters with police and civilians.

Officers from the Santa Ana Office of the California Highway Patrol threw spike strips in front of her car on Chapman Avenue near the 55 freeway blowing out her tires. Despite the flat tires, she continued driving before eventually giving up on Tustin Avenue near Santa Clara Street in Santa Ana.

She was taken into custody quickly and was arrested for suspicion of DUI and other charges related to her failure to yield to police.
