TRUCK FIRE SNARLS TRAFFIC ON 5 FREEWAY IN TUSTIN

A fire in a truck carrying mattresses caused traffic headaches on several Orange County freeways this afternoon. OCFA got the call around 1:30 PM this afternoon. Firefighters had to pull the burning mattresses off the truck to put the fire out.

Several lanes were closed and traffic slowed as people watched the mess as they drove by. The incident caused traffic to back up on the 55 and 57 freeways too.

The Sigalert was canceled around 5 PM but traffic remains slow on several freeways.
