CHP CHASE ENDS IN CRASH

The California Highway Patrol attempted to stop a car with 3 people inside in Santa Ana. The car took off at speeds up to 100 MPH.

Just as the CHP was backing out of the chase due to the extremely dangerous driving of the suspect, the car ran a red light at 17th St and Fairview and crashed into another car. The driver of the suspect car took off on foot as did the 2 passengers. The passengers were quickly captured but a manhunt for the driver is underway.

The sole occupant of the car they hit, a woman, was injured and transported to a local hospital, as was the female passenger in the suspects’ car.
